Bird-Lovers BEWARE! Smaller Than Bedbugs? It's Possible!

Unfortunately, it is possible ....

As many of you know, New York, as well as many other large cities around the world, home to the pigeons has become an astronomical number. Yes I am talking about the dove and your windowsills, balconies, fire escape, and rest on park benches nest every day! Have you ever step back to wonder why these birds seem to have succeeded in your neighborhood? I mean you live in New York City, why such a large population of birds, a crowded, polluted, concrete jungle will be successful?

Well .. The main reason behind this of infestation (that many people are comfortable with and encourage) the absence of natural predators is likely to pigeons. I mean how many times a stranger down a hawk swooping to curb New York City street view? Large cities have food and shelter to sustain their lives not only with an abundance of pigeons on offer make it easier for them to mate more often. Avian pest control companies for many years with poison recommended responded to complaints about the pigeons. Some of avian poison, however, are nonselective in nature, meaning that non-target species is a bird of bad luck or the ingesting these poisons are used after your last breath, can feed on. For this very reason, choose a governor in NYC August of 2000 banning the use of poison avian bill signed. Through the use of various avian toxin in coordination with the ban on pigeon control, pigeon fertility rates are at an extreme, uninformed city dwellers a growing pigeon population, resulting in wreaking havoc on.

Okay, so now you're probably thinking that this pigeon thing right for all has to do with worms? Well, here goes.

You see the problem when it comes to pigeons in NYC, most people repulsive muck their homes, cars, and sidewalks are concerned about leaving behind .. Oh yes! Your clothes and hair on a bad day, do not forget. Some people even as health hazards and the spread of disease concern about more serious things can be. One thing most people have not considered but our insect pests. That's right! Bird mites ... Like bed bugs, bird mites are a parasite, meaning that they feed on the blood of living creatures. Although host the birds like bird mites, they are also attracted to mammals such as humans ... Yes ... You! These itty bitty creatures often bite humans when their natural food sources (bird) is absent. Similar to their beloved host, bird mites reproduce at a rapid pace, thousands of times without warning.

Lucky for you, I'm here to inform the uninformed.

There are bird mites, canary lung mites, feather mites, many different types of particles of gray, and red mite is called a major threat. Usually red particles as small as 1mm in length and white or in color are obvious. But when they feed they usually will turn a dark red or brown. Bird mites often at night and at night to feed on their hosts are. These almost microscopic creatures, between.7 and average 1 mm in length, are often ignored or mistaken for bed bugs (reference: 2). Unless they are moving, it is extraordinarily difficult to see bird mites. Symptoms of bird mites bite-sized pin, itching, small red bumps, and skin (: 1 reference) contains the crawling sensation. One way to check your living bird in the cage, place a sheet over the area concerned, if there are small specks or stains when you remove the sheet may have something to worry about you are.

Egg, larva, protonymph deutonymph, and adults: Bird mites five stages in its life cycle. Larvae can be identified by having three pairs of legs, while nymphs and adults of four pairs (reference: 2).

Now that you have an idea what to look for, back track a little bit. Celestial dove population that we talked about just a while ago, remember? Well we all know that millions of pigeons that inhabited the bottom of your windowsills and your air conditioners are a tight you can, but do you really need to consider that they own the Dove Small insects can be. Windows and air conditioners to allow pigeons to nest in your home increases the chances of bringing the bird mites, your pest problem pest problem in their turn!

Some advice I can help your home and family for bird mite all openings and holes that enter the large attics and porches and exterior environment to prevent roosting on the hardware cloth to set free the birds will stop enough to Offered at will. Pigeons as outdoor birds, nesting, or the buildings should be discouraged. Lastly, I highly recommend that residents of the house entrance and windows to disrupt nest building efforts.

I'm sure many of you are thinking, or "well I can not birdmites" Well from now on I will just stay away from pigeons. If it were that easy, I think this article in its essence would be futile. Bird mite infestations are difficult to eradicate and often the help of a knowledgeable and experienced pest control company is required.
